Meet the Team

Danielle Gladding arrived in Sarasota in 1976, earned her Realtor license in 1981 and her Broker designation in 1987, and has carried those credentials through every market cycle and interest-rate era since. She holds the Luxury Homes Certification along with the ABR, Certified Waterfront Specialist and Certified Residential Listing Specialist designations. She works the full market with her daughter — Sarasota, Longboat Key, Lakewood Ranch, the barrier islands and Manatee County — and lives on the water in Queens Harbour inside Bay Isles.

She is a longtime real estate investor and remodeler, and that perspective shapes how she works. When she tells a seller a targeted renovation could move their sale price, she isn’t guessing. She has done it herself, repeatedly. Every valuation, pricing strategy and pre-listing walkthrough reflects that.

What she’d point to first is the length of her relationships. Her client base goes back to the start of her career — not a database, but people who have bought and sold with her several times over, across different neighborhoods and different markets. That gets earned the same way each time: candor, patience, and a willingness to tell someone the truth about their options when it isn’t the easy answer.

Danielle works alongside her daughter, Alison Kanter, in a partnership that is as much personal as professional. Danielle brings market memory going back to 1976, instinct and relationship depth; Alison brings analytical precision and a tech-forward discipline built through a Clemson MBA and a corporate career. Their strengths are complementary, and clients feel it from the first conversation.

Beyond real estate, Danielle serves as President of the Kiwanis Club of Longboat Key and sits on the boards of the State College of Florida Foundation and Save Our Seabirds. She is one of seven women who founded LBK100.

Her commitment is simple: lead with lifestyle, tell clients what she’d tell her best friend, and never oversell. A private conversation costs nothing, and it gives you a straight picture of where you stand.

Alison Kanter is a Sales Partner at Danielle Gladding & Co. Realty, the boutique luxury firm she runs with her mother, Broker/Owner Danielle Gladding. A Sarasota native, Alison attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Bradenton, earned her B.A. from Furman University and her MBA from Clemson, and spent several years at a multinational IT company before returning home. She earned her Florida real estate license in May 2023. She is a Certified Waterfront Specialist, a Real Estate Negotiation Expert, a Certified Residential Listing Specialist, and a graduate of Leadership Sarasota.

Alison and Danielle both work the full market — Sarasota, Longboat Key, Lakewood Ranch, the barrier islands, and Manatee County. Neither of them is a one-neighborhood agent, and clients moving between submarkets don’t get handed off.

She is also an investor in her own right. She has remodeled and sold single-family homes in Greenville, South Carolina and in Sarasota, and is a part owner of a family apartment complex in Laurel Park that she helped renovate. That experience spans commercial, industrial, multi-family, single-family and land. It is why she can walk a property with a buyer and say what it will cost to make it what they want, and whether that money comes back.

Away from work you’ll find her on her boat in Sarasota Bay with her three rescue dogs, Winston, Willow and Fira. She served on the board of the Humane Society of Sarasota County.
